South Central Railways (SCR) recovered Rs 62.2 crores from ticketless travelers towards penalty during April to December 2013.
This amount was realized by SCR during the months of April-December 2013 by carrying out a drive against ticketless and irregular travelers.
In a statement issued by SCR it was informed that 19.8 lakh cases were booked during the period which included 5.7 lakh cases of ticketless Travel, 7 lakh cases of irregular travel and 7.1 lakh cases of Un-booked luggage.
