Siasat revels in the outstanding positive response it gets by the well-wishers of the community to every report published in it. As rightly said by the noted journalist Zafar Agha, Siasat is the only newspaper of the country which receives the highest funds on reports published. In this matter even the other language newspapers can’t compete with Siasat.
Master Kamran is suffering from a syndrome known as Aplastic anemia which is a rare disorder that results from the unexplained failure of the bone marrow to produce red blood cells, white blood cells and platelets. A report was published in Siasat daily about Kamran S/O Mrs. Atiya Siddiqui and Mohammed Akbar Ali Khan R/O Tolichowki on February 21, which stated that doctors have told that the treatment requires surgery and would cost around Rs. 10 lakh and the boy is being treated by Dr. Shailesh R Singh at Care hospital.
Soon after the publication of the report readers of Siasat daily from Hyderabad, across the country and foreign countries vie each other to contribute for Master Kamran and in a very short span Rs. 325000 were collected for him. Mr. Zahed Ali Khan editor Siasat handed over the amount to Akber Ali Khan and his wife at Siasat office yesterday. It must be recalled that Helping Hand Foundation had presented a cheque of Rs. 2 lakh as primary aid. So the total amount collected for Kamran’s treatment comes to Rs. 525000.
With tears rolling down her cheeks Kamran’s mother told that she had not even imagine undergoing her son’s treatment she feels that it is Divine help from Allah that soon after the publication of report, Siasat readers gushed forth to extend financial help. It is hoped that the remaining amount will also be collected in no time In Sha Allah.
