Hyderabad, April 5: In an incident occurred under Sultan Bazar police station limits unidentified robbers committed the crime of robbery in a petrol pump on Monday night and fled with 5 lakh rupees.
According to the details Santosh filling station’s cashier Rajkumar was sleeping in the premises after closing the petrol pump. A gang of veiled robbers arrived at the petrol pump in an auto and broke window panes making a sudden attack on the petrol pump office. They robbed Rs. 5 lakhs from the cashier box threatening the workers with the knife.
Cashier told the police that since it was holidays to the banks for the last two days the amount was kept in the petrol pump. However not relying upon him the police took him and another worker in custody and started investigation.
Police sources told that the registration number of the auto in which the robbers had arrived at petrol pump and committed the crime was AP11U-0655.
