Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today said Telangana State was making rapid growth and achieving financial sustenance and come up with a hefty Rs 5 lakh crore State Budget in 2024.
Launching Sheep Rearing scheme at Kondapaka here along with Minister T Harish Rao and others, the Chief Minister exhorted the farmers to stop committing suicides as his government will come to their rescue by offering financial assistance. KCR tried to convince the farmers by saying that instead of falling a prey to the greedy money-lenders, they should stop committing suicides and take help from the government. “We are going to disburse financial assistance of Rs 4000 per acre (Rs 8000 for two seasons) towards fertilizers and other expenses from next May which will prevent them from debt problem and the entire Telangana will become rich when the rural areas grow richer and the government will make use of its human resources”, he added.
The Chief Minister said, “During 1948-56, Telangana (Hyderabad) State was rich and what I said in thousands of public meetings during statehood agitation was becoming true now. Our aim is to boost financial development and surpass others in its wealth and offer fruits of labour among the needy and poor”, the Chief Minister said.
Taking a dig at the Opposition criticism and their coming in the way of irrigation projects and development, KCR said his government was committed to implement various welfare and development programs. He also exhorted the farmers to pull up the Opposition parties for filing false court cases and stalling the developmental works. The farmers must remain united and should question the Opposition leaders as to why they were coming in the way of growth and progress of the State, he said.
The farmers should stop extreme steps of committing suicides and discuss their problems with the government for immediate solution. he said. The farmers in societies should make proper use of Rs 4000 per acre being offered by the government by next May 15, he said. “We will provide uninterrupted power supply, safe drinking water to rural people and complete all the projects on time”, KCR said. The completion of projects will transform the State into Bangaru Telangana and the entire Cabinet and official machinery was working on day and night, he stated.
The Chief Minister recalled that the farmers used to donate paddy to others who were in bad condition like famine during combined Andhra Pradesh State. However the situation has completely changed and the farmers have now set a record by producing bumper paddy crop this year, KCR stated. The TRS Government will give priority for industry and other sectors for equal growth and will irrigate one crore acres in the near future, he asserted.
TRS Parliamentary party leader K Kesava Rao, Telangana Assembly Deputy Speaker Padma Devender Reddy, MPs, MLAs, and other people’s representatives along with senior officials were present at the event. (NSS)
