Union minister for social justice and empowerment Thaawar Chand Gehlot was accorded a warm welcome when he visited the State BJP headquartes here on Mozamjahi Market Road.
Gehlot was welcomed by BJP SC Morcha office-bearers at a function here. Gehlot visited the city for the first time after becoming a minister in the Narendra Modi government. Telangana SC morch president K Ramulu presided over the function, which was attended by BJP national vice-president Bandaru Dattatreya and other office-bearers of SC Morcha.
Speaking on the occasion, Gehlot said a guest house would be constructed in Telangana State at a cost of Rs 5 crores for mentally retarded persons. He also said an ashram would be built for the aged persons.
Later, the Union minister called on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. Both discussed about various issues. (NSS)
