Rs 4.56 cr for Airport study at Kothagudem

The Telangana Government today directed the officials concerned to conduct a feasibility study on its proposal to set up an airport in Kothagudem in Khammam district. The Government has also released Rs 4.56 crore on Monday for the purpose of constructing and developing an airport, informed sources said.

It may be noted that Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju had asked Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao to send him a report on setting up of an airport at Kothaguedem after conducting a feasibility study. Keeping the Centre’s advice in view, the State government has asked the officials to conduct a study and send report to Civil Aviation Ministry immediately. (NSS)
