Endowment Minister A Indirakaran Reddy said that Archakas and other employees in the temples will get salaries with hike from Dec 1 on par with other employees. He said that the government made all arrangements for offering the salaries as it gave administrative sanction for Rs 37.50 cr for salaries. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has kept the promise of giving salaries to the Archakas and temple staff, he claimed. The state government will implement pay scale to the archakas, the minister said.
Indrakaran Reedy will formally handover the cheques to the Archakas and temples’ staff on Dec 1 as per the promise made. The State Government today released Rs 37.50 cr towards payment of salaries for Archakas and staff in the state temples. Secretary endowment N Sivakaumar said here that administrative sanction for Rs 37.50 cr for 2017-18 is given towards salaries for Archakas for first, second and third quarters. With this the state government kept its promise of giving them salaries. The secretary directed endowment commissioner to take necessary steps for the payment of the salaries. (NSS)
