Out of this, Rs 15 crore is for the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) and Rs 20 crore towards drinking water supply in other Urban Local Bodies.
The Chief Minister also directed the HMWSSB to supply water on alternate days in areas under Alwal, Malkajgiri, Qutbullapur, Kapra and Uppal where the drinking water is now being supplied once in 3 and 5 days.
Mr Kiran Kumar Reddy further said that as there is no problem for availability of water, the HMWSSB authorities should chalk out immediate action plans to supply water on alternate days in these areas.
The Chief Minister also asked the Board officials to collect random samples of water on a daily basis from different areas in the city.
