Deputy Chief Minister (Revenue), Mahmood Ali today said that the state government has sanctioned Rs33 Crores for the grand conduct of Ramzan Celebrations.
The Deputy Chief Minister inspected the arrangements being made at LB Stadium along with a team of officials. Ali asked the officials to provide improved facilities for the important program of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao hosting Ifthar Dinner on the occasion at the stadium on June 8 in the evening. He also said Rs 15 crore was allocated for Iftar Dinner alone. Mahamood Ali said 500 gift-packs will be given to each of 800 Masjids in the State to mark the occasion, including 400 in the city. He also stated Rs 1 lakh has been sanctioned for all the Masjids for the Iftar party.
He said that Telangana is on the top in the Budget allocation for the Ramzan in the country after the separate state was formed. The Deputy Chief Minister stated that Telangana State stood at the top in all the sectors in the country. Ali directed the officials to ensure that the guests who are attending the Iftar at L.B. Stadium on June 8 should not face any inconvenience and that the officials should make all the arrangements to erect barricades, supply of safe-drinking water, sanitation and mobile toilets. He also wanted that there should not be any disruption in the power supply, better parking, Public Address System and install LED screens at the Stadium. He said that Hyderabad District Collector Yogitha Rana has been appointed as the Nodal Officer to supervise the arrangements for the event.
Those who were present at the review meeting include the Advisor to Govt. (Minorities Welfare), AK Khan, the Chairman of the Wakf Board, Md Saleem, the Secretary (Minorities Welfare), Dana Kishore, Yogita Rana and Senior officials of various departments. (NSS)
