Agriculture Minister P Srinivas Reddy today said that Rs 30 cr will be spent for setting up Spices Park in Telangana. The government has decided to construct the spices park in the district to ensure that the farmers get benefit avoiding the middlemen problem.
Srinivas Reddy held a high level review meeting with officials here on the spices park along with MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy and TSIIC Managing Director Narsimha Reddy. The park is proposed to be set up near Velpur village in Nizamabad district and will avoid the problem of middlemen, he said. The farmers can directly market their produce at the Park and get benefits, the Agriculture minister maintained.
As part of the Spices Park platform and sheds will be constructed in first phase and internal roads and drainage will be built in the second phase he said. Rest rooms and toilets will be constructed towards providing facility for businessmen and farmers he said. The minister asked the officials to take steps to provide these facilities. (NSS
