A bag containing Rs 3 lakh in cash was stolen from a wedding ceremony at a hotel here in Chhattisgarh, police said today. The father of the groom, Charanjeet Sawanni, a resident of Rajkishore Nagar here, had organised a marriage function for his son at the hotel on Monday night, they said. When everybody was busy with ceremony, some unidentified person decamped with the bag containing cash gifts worth Rs 3 lakh, police said. The family members lodged a complaint with Torwa Police station after they did not find the bag after searching for it for several hours in the hotel. A case has been registered and efforts were on to trace the thief, police added. PTI
