GHMC Commissioner Dr B. Janardhan Reddy today said Rs 3.33 crore has been sanctioned for providing basic minimum facilities at the polling stations during GHMC elections.
The Election Authority and GHMC have given directions to all the Executive Engineers for providing basic minimum facilities at the polling stations for elections of GHMC scheduled to be held on February 2, he said. Drinking water supply, electrification, toilet facilities, ramps, shade to waiting voters, furniture, partitions for all these basic minimum facilities would be provided by the Election Authority and GHMC. He said more than 16 contesting candidates are in five wards i.e., Jangammet, Suraram, East Anandbagh, Ramanthapur and Balanagar. (NSS)
