Rs 26 crore released for formation of new districts

The State government has sanctioned and released an amount of Rs 26 crore in connection with formation of new districts and the District Collectors were authorized to draw and incur the expenditure, as per the guidelines of Revenue Department.

 

It may be mentioned here that the Revenue Department had requested for release of Rs 1 crore to each of the existing Districts (except Hyderabad District) to meet the expenditure towards transportation of furniture, files and so on to the newly proposed districts and other unforeseen expenditure in connection with formation of new Districts.

 

The amounts released to the existing districts areĀ  as follows: Mahbubnagar district Rs 3 crore, Ranga Reddy district Rs 3 crore, Nalgonda district Rs 3 crore, Warangal district Rs 4 crore, Khammam district Rs 2 crore, Nizamabad district Rs 2 crore, Medak district Rs 3 crore, Karimnagar district Rs 3 crore, Adilabad district Rs 3 crore.
