Rs. 2582 cr budget proposals for Minorities finalized

Hyderabad: The proposed budget for the financial year, 2018-19 is important as General Elections are likely to be held next year.

Govt. decided to enhance the budget extraordinarily. A meeting of the officials of the Dept. of Finance, Dept. Minorities Welfare and other institutions were held on Saturday. Present at the meeting were, Mr. Rama Krishna and Mr. Shiv Shanker, Secretaries of the Dept. of Finance, Mr. Dana Kishore, Secretary of the Dept. of Minorities Welfare and other officials.

According to the details, Rs. 2582 crore has been proposed in the budget.

Training and employment Rs. 35.2 cr.
Coaching in study circles Rs. 15.55 cr.
Haj committe Rs. 5 cr.
Iftaar, Christmas Rs. 72 cr.
Dairatul Maarif Rs. 5.5 cr.
Urdu Academy (Salaries) Rs. 2 cr.
T- Prime etc Rs. 25 cr.
Wakf’s Survey Rs. 1 cr.
Sikh Bhavan Rs. 5.25 cr.
Christian Bhavan Rs. 22 cr.
 Minorities Survey Rs. 6.76 cr.

It may be mentioned that during the current financial year, Rs. 1050 crore were released whereas only Rs. 660 crore. were spent against the allocated budget of Rs. 1226 crore.
