In order to tackle water stagnation during the monsoon, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) commissioner Somesh Kumar has asked GHMC and police officials to conduct joint inspections before the onset of monsoon so that there would not be any water stagnation or traffic congestion during the monsoon period.
A review meeting was held by Somesh Kumar with zonal commissioners, traffic police and other senior officials from engineering and police on water stagnation points and potholes on Saturday.
The commissioner said Rs 21 crore was Okayed for desilting and another Rs 5 crore for rectifying water stagnation points, which were under progress.
