The TRS Government will spend Rs 200 crore for strengthening the tribal educational institutions with all facilities.
Tribal Welfare Minister A Chandulal today held a high-level review meeting at his chambers on Tribal Sub-Plan Implementation and asked the officials to provide computer education to the students on par with other government schools besides improving facilities in the tribal schools and other institutions. Panchayat Roads department will spend Rs 230 crore to lay roads in the identified tribal hamlets and Rs 145 crore for improving health services, he said.
The State Government, he said, will spend adequate funds with allocation of Rs 200 crore for providing additional facilities in these institutions he remarked. Chandulal stated that the students will get on first day of academic year the books, clothes and all other facilities. “Every tribal school will get a library and laboratory facility to improve standards and quality of education”, he said. The minister said the government has decided to encourage tribal entrepreneurs and immediate release of subsidies.
To meet the Sub-Plan targets, a tri-monthly review will be conducted and take serious action against the officials if they failed to reach them, he warned. If necessary the government will bring in some amendments in the Act and make online the details of those personal beneficiaries of the sub-plan transparently, he added.
