Nalgonda: In-charge district Collector P. Satyanarayana has stated that the State government decided to supply wheat at Rs 2 per kg from this month to the beneficiaries instead of Rs 7 through fair price shops.
On Saturday, Satyanarayana clarified that the BPL beneficiaries will get 5 Kg wheat per month whereas rural beneficiaries will get 2 Kg per month. He said the fair price shop dealers have to pay Rs 6.87 as they were following previous rules through Mee Seva. The Department of Civil Supplies manager will deposit the difference of amount in the dealers bank account deducting their commission.
The incharge Collector also suggested to the fair price shop dealers to approach Tahsildars concerned to meet their wheat demand and pay the amount in Mee Seva. Wheat will be supplied to dealers in contractor’s vehicle. If any irregularities were found in distribution of wheat, stringent action will be taken against the culprits, he warned. (NSS)
