The state government has released Rs 2 cr for conduct of third phase of Harithaharam in July fist week to plant one lakh saplings in the districts.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who is to participate in the program in Karimnagar distirct, has asked the officials to make the program a grand success. Harithaharam the flagship program for expansion of greenery in the state is to involve all departments.
According to information, the government has issued orders to take up massive plantation drive in July first week to reach the target of planting one lakh saplings on a single day. This is as part of a state target to plant 30 cr saplings in four years to increase greenery and attract more rains and take on pollution problem. The government released the funds from special funds of welfare and development programs. (NSS)
