Hyderabad: On the request of Kerala Government, the Telangana Government today sent electricity material worth Rs 2.5 crore to Tiruvanthapuram. Power Minister G Jagadish Reddy today flagged off vehicles carrying transformers and meters in adequate numbers to Kerala State to restore power supply.
On the occasion, the minister expressed grief at the rain ravaged Kerala. “I express pain and anguish at the natural calamity and people have to come forward to help it generously. The people from all walks of life have to support battered Kerala to get back to normalcy he said. Those in distress and caught up in the deluge have to get help and the state government is helping it, Jagadish Reddy said.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao immediately offered Rs 25 cr cheque besides sending 500 metric tons of rice, milk powder nutritious food and other help worth in crores. Home Minister N Narsimha Reddy handed over a cheque of Rs 25 cr to Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan recently.
