The State government today sanctioned Rs 194.54 for Sripada Yellampally Project stage-II under phase-I and issued an order to this effect.
Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today said the government would construct the project on time. On completion, the project would irrigate 57,400 acres. The project will help farmers in a big way, he said, adding that Rudrangi (Kalikota) and Nagaram lakes will be developed into reservoirs. These reservoirs and canals will have pump houses at Kathalapur, Korutla, Ibrahimpatnam, Metpally mandals. MP B Vinod Kumar, MLAs Chennamaneni Ramesh and Vidyasagar Rao met the minister and extended thanks for releasing the funds.
