Rs 15 crore for TS Formation Day fete: Chandulal

Telangana State formation day celebrations will be conducted in a grand manner across the state and in Delhi and some other nations, Minister for Tourism and culture A Chandulal has said.

Talking to reporters at Secretariat here he said that the government has released Rs 15 cr for conducting the celebrations in a significant manner for three days from June 2.  As per Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s directive elaborate arrangements have been made at the state capital wherein all the historical structures, monuments, offices will be decorated with illumination to suit the occasion.

The Telangana formation celebrations will be conducted at US, England, Australia, New Zealand, Dubai, Kuwait, Delhi, Mumbai, Surat, Kolkata and other places in coordination with Telangana Associations the minister said.  KCR will present awards to 53 persons in various fields in Hyderabad, while ministers and representatives concerned will present awards to 341 persons at the districts.

The minister said that the government is spending Rs 2,26,36000 for presenting the awards including Rs 1.16 lakh will be given to the state level awards, Rs 51000 will be given to district level awards. A three day carnival and wide gamut of cultural programs including classical dance, Khawwali, Kavi Sammelan, Jaya Jaya he Telangana, Perini Dance, Sufi Music, Gazals and others will be conducted at Ravindra Bharathi and other places and conducting Telangana Food Festival at Peoples Plaza. As part of the celebrations it was decided to decorate Kacheguda Railway Station and Shilpa Kala Vedika with 3-D mapping he said.
