The government has released Rs. 146 crore 26 lakh for post matric scholarship and fee reimbursement schemes for the minority students of the state. Special secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel issued GO RT 244 in this connection. The amount has been released for financial year 2013-14. GO stated that the commissioner minority welfare has requested the government to issue budget to implement the schemes.
Rs. 22 crore 75 thousand have been released towards post matric scholarships while for fee reimbursement scheme Rs. 59,84,27,000 have been released from the budget and Rs. 64, 41,00000 have been released under additional sanction. Thus the total amount released for fee-reimbursement is Rs. 124,25,27,000.
