Rs 13.40 cr for Sarpanches honorarium

State Government today released Rs 13.40 cr towards payment of honorarium of Sarpanches. The government on Thursday issued orders in this regard. It may be said here that the government increased the honoararium for Sarpanches to Rs 5000 a month from Rs 1500. The government released funds as Panchayat Raj Minister Jupally Krishna Rao took initiative in this regard followed by a meeting with delegates of state Sarpanches Association a few days ago. The Association expressed pleasure at the release of the funds.(NSS)
