Rs 1290 lakh released for Vemulawada developmental works

The State government has released Rs 1290 lakh for taking up developmental works in Vemulawada Assembly constituency in Karimnagar district under “Special Development Fund for Welfare and Development Activities” scheme for the 2015-16, according to GO Rt No 328, dated June 22.
It may be mentioned here that the Karimnagar MP had represented to the Chief Minister to allot funds at the rate of Rs 10 lakh for each Gram Panchayat, Rs 25 lakh for each Mandal and Rs 100 lakh to Vemulawada Nagar Panchayat towards development of villages, mandals and towns amounting to Rs 1290 lakh to fulfill his announcements during his visit to Vemulawada on June 18. Accordingly, the State government released Rs 1290 lakh as requested by the MP. The district Collector was authorized to draw the amount and incur the expenditure for the works sanctioned. (NSS)
