Rs. 100, Rs. 50 and other small currency notes are the next target

Hyderabad: Govt. of India is contemplating to take back old currency notes of the denominations of Rs. 100, Rs. 50, Rs. 20 and Rs. 10 in the days to come in order to curb black money and to check fake currency.

It is understood that Reserve Bank of India and Ministry of Finance have already made necessary arrangements for this but in the present circumstances it is not possible to implement it. Govt. of India wants to gain sometime.

It is understood that some culprits have exchanged Rs. 1000 and Rs. 5000 notes with Rs. 100 notes. It is also noticed that a large number of fake currency notes of smaller denominations are in circulation mostly in rural areas.
