Rs 100 cr for Seekho Aur Kamao” for Muslims

Union Labour Minister, Bandaru Dattatraya today said that the Centre will fund the employment generation schemes for poverty alleviation and education for the minorities in the state. The Union Minister assured that he would take up these matters with Muqtar Abbas Naqvi, Union Minister of State for Minority Affairs for a grant of approximately Rs 100 cr for the employment generation scheme for Minorities in Telangana. He held a review meeting with Deputy Chief Minister Mahmood Ali and Home and Labour Minister of Telangana Nayini Narsimha Reddy and discussed on the program at Dilkusha Guest House here today.

Dattatraya discussed on the welfare and development of Minorities in the state of Telangana especially the grants to the “Seekho Aur Kamao”, Employment Generation programs, funds to Micro Finance System especially in the areas of cottage industries, Small Scale sector for the benefit of Minority Women especially. The aspect of advancing loans to the minorities was also discussed. The meeting was in the interest of alleviation of poverty, improvement of health, education and employment for minorities. When he sought land from Telangana Government for 100 bedded ESIC Hospital at Goshamahal and land for the 300 bedded Hospital between Erragadda and Borabanda, Narsimha Reddy said that he will take up the matter with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. He also brought to the notice of the Union Minister on the completion of a block in Nacharam ESI State Hospital for which the Union Minister assured positively for its completion.

Consequent to the enhancement of eligibility limit for ESIC benefits from Rs 15,000 to Rs 21,000 by the Centre Bandaru Dattatraya stated that about 35 lakh new beneficiaries would come under the ESIC coverage.  Under this coverage, he sought the active role of Telangana State in maximum enrolment of workers.  He also requested Narsimha Reddy to focus on implementation of Board of Construction and Other Workers act and extend its provision to the Construction and Other Workers in Telangana State.

Meet with RBI, FMs today

He said that he will conduct a review meeting on Cash Flow in Telugu Speaking State, enrolment of labourers with Bank Accounts, Digital Literacy on Cashless Transactions, Steps to be taken to mitigate the hardship of the Public etc. with Reserve Bank of India and other Bank Officials in the premises of RBI, Hyderabad on December 13.  He invited Ministers of Telangana & Andhra Pradesh  Mahmood Ali, Nayini Narsimha Reddy, Etela Rajender, Kinjarapu Atchan Naidu along with Chief Secretaries and officials.

 

Dattatraya expressing his concern on the havoc created by “Vaardha Cyclone” in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu stated that he is closing the situation and would take up the matters of relief with Centre.  He assured the Centre’s help to the affected people especially to the labourers in the affected states.
