Mohammed Abdul Hafeez lost both the legs and a hand just a day before his marriage due to electrocution. Process of fixing prosthetic legs has begun. On February 6, during the matrimonial alliance Du Ba Du programme held in Warangal Mr. Zahed Ali khan editor Siasat himself handed over Rs. 50 thousand to Abdul Hafeez. Some philanthropist persons seating there also followed suit and extended financial help.
On Wednesday Abdul Hafeez along with his mother reached Siasat office. On the occasion Mr. Zahed Ali Khan handed over another Rs. 1 lakh contributed by Siasat readers to Abdul Hafeez. Soon after the publication of heartrending story of Mohammed Abdul Hafeez in Siasat daily, readers of Siasat from city, districts and NRIs vied each other to help the physically challenged youth. Rs. 3 lakh 25 thousand has been collected till date of which Rs. 45 thousand were paid to Ortho India to fix prosthetic legs made by German company.
Abdul Hafeez’s mother prayed for all those who contributed in helping Abdul Hafeez stand on his own legs once again. Mr. Ahmedullah Khan an NRI has assured his financial assistance for starting some business after the prosthetic legs are fixed.
