Royal bathroom of Qutub Shahi tombs converted into a film set

The premise of Qutub Shahi Tombs has a historical bathroom where Qutub Shahi rulers were given funeral bath and were shrouded there. When any of the rulers died he was brought here from Golconda with state honour. There is a mosque before bathroom; each dead body was to pass by the masjid before taking to the bathroom as good omen.

Despite dilapidation the historical bathroom still exists. But unfortunately, the place where Qutub Shahi rulers were given bath and where the ayahs of the Quran used to echo, is today used for film shooting, which is quite condemnable.

It must be noted that the department of Archaeology collects Rs 15000 per day for shooting. Masjid and graveyards are the place of admonition and not the places for drinking and dancing.

In 1932 when Nawab Mir Osman Ali Khan Bahadur visited Qutub Shahi Tombs the police deployed there got ready to give salute in his honour, he stopped them saying ‘salute in royal graveyard is out of place’

But present government and concerned departments are deliberately desecrating Qutub Shahi Tombs. On a tip off when our correspondent went to check the situation he saw that a man in satanic attire was sitting at the place and shooting was on. He was stopped from capturing picture of the scene.
