Hyderabad, February 06: Row over the fixing of religious flags on the eve of Milad-un-nabi led to tension in Singareny Colony Saidabad after two groups of different community clashed leaving six injured.The Police however arrested fourteen youths and produced them before the court.
According to the sources one local youth Srikanth reportedly raised objection over the Mohammed Pasha’s act of fixing flags near his home and subsequently there was a argument between the duo. Pasha thrashed Srikanth over his comments and tension escalated in the Singareny Colony area in Saidabad after supporters of Pasha and Srikanth clashed leaving six injured.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police Malaket Mohammed Iqbal Siddiqui along with the Saidabad Police staff recahed the spot and taken trouble mongers into custody.
After the preliminary investigation the police registered a case under section 324 (Causing voluntary hurt) arrested fourteen youths namely Ramesh, Sandeep, K. Srikanth ,Mohammed Pasha, Syed Jaweed, Shaik Irfan and Mohammed Anwar while six juveniles were also arrested in the same case. The Police produced the arrested youths before the Nampally court and posted a police picket in the area. Protesting against the arrests parents of the arrested youths staged a Dharna infront of Saidabad Police station.
