Islamabad : Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has discarded claims that the issue of Indian spy agency RAW’s involvement in Balochistan was discussed during his meeting with the Pakistani leadership.
Rouhani said this while addressing a press conference in the federal capital before his return on Saturday, reports Dawn.
Rouhani denied having such a discussion, saying, “whenever Iran comes closer to Pakistan such rumours are spread.”
During the meetings, the Iranian President said the two sides held wide ranging discussions for cooperation in the areas of trade, economy and energy as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Pakistan’s Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lt. Gen. Asim Bajwa, shared the text of Army Chief General Raheel Sharif’s meeting with the Iranian President.
“There is one concern that RAW is involved in Pak, spec Bln&sometimes also use the soil of our brother country,Iran.I request, they should be told to stop these activities &allow Pakistan to achieve stability,” tweeted Bajwa. (ANI)
