Rough Business: ISIS Fighters face 50% decrease in salary

CNN reporter Money Jose Pagliery reports “IS soldiers earn between $400 and $1,200 per month. The Jihadists receive a $50 stipend for their wives and $25 for every child”

One of the document signed by Abu Muhammed Al-Muhajir, IS’s treasury minister said “ On account of the exceptional circumstances the Islamic State is facing, it has been decided to reduce the salaries that are paid to all(jihadists) by half, and it is not allowed for anyone to be exempted from this decision, whatever his position”
Experts speculate that the wartime pressure may be taking a toll on the internal and external operations of IS.

For instance in Tidal wave II which was lead by US targeting oil fields of IS and supply lines in Western Iraq and Eastern Syria may have definitely affected the group’s funds.

A major portion of the group’s earnings is based on the oil resources, while they also earn through taxes which it takes from the population under its control.

Before the US attacks on their oil resources, American officials speculated that Islamic State was making $2 million every day from their oil.

IS also earns its survival through donations, kidnapping, ransom, bank robberies, extortions and many such acts.
Apart from attacks on oil resources, American air strikes have also done damage to much of their cash by bombing on a building in central Mosul, Iraq, thus destroying millions of cash
