Hyderabad, May 25: (Siasat News) Chief Minister K. Rosiah said, his tour of Delhi was undertaken with the view of apprising the center of the situation after month the Laila cyclone. He added further that he met with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, UPA Chair person Sonia Gandhi, Union Home Minister PC Chidambaram and the law minister Veerappa Moily.
Later addressing a press conference at Andhra Bhavan in New Delhi, he sais at the time of cyclone he had brief the center about the threats of cyclone Laila and its devastation.
It was his first and fore must duty to do this in person reaching here in New Delhi. The goal of his New Delhi tour is to put all the facts before the center government and to seek its financial assistance.
The grim situation of the state in the wake of drought and famine demands center government’s aid of RS 6000 core. He informed the media persons that he asked the Prime Minister for giving the national statue to the pullavaram project.
He also told the media persons about his separate meeting with Mr. Chidambaram in this meeting he said, the naxal issue also came up and he requested to Mr. Chidambaram to include Vishakhapatnam, Vijyanagaram, Srikakulam, East and West Godavari innthe naxalite inflicted areas.
