Johannesburg: Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg continued the pace and momentum, beating reigning world champion and teammate Lewis Hamilton in the second practice session for the German Grand Prix on Friday.
Rosberg, who won his last Formula One race on the Hockenheim course two years ago, was three-tenths of the second quicker than Hamilton, Sport24 reported.
Hamilton currently holds a six-point lead over Rosberg at the top of the standings after winning the Hungarian Grand Prix last Sunday, which was his consecutive fifth win of the season.
Meanwhile, Ferrari’s Sebastian Vettel finished third in both sessions while Red Bull duo of Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo were fourth and fifth respectively. (ANI)
