Rosaiah takes potshots at Naidu

Hyderabad, November 09: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah today took potshots at TDP for its criticism that he failed to invite US President Barack Obama to the state saying former American president Bill Clinton only “attended nature’s call” when he came here while Chandrababu Naidu was in power.

At a press conference here, Rosaiah said, “The US president’s visits are planned by the government of India. We have to lobby with the Centre for brining Obama to the state but I don’t do such things.

“Anyway, when he was chief minister, Chandrababu Naidu brought the then US President Bill Clinton to Hyderabad in 2000. Except attending the nature’s call in the hospital, what did Clinton do for Hyderabad,” Rosaiah wondered.

“During my predecessor Y S Rajasekhara Reddy’s tenure, then US President George W Bush visited Hyderabad in 2006 and we cordially welcomed him.
