Hyderabad, October 21: Stating that none of the ministers disliked him, chief minister K Rosaiah dropped hints on Tuesday that disciplinary action would be
taken against erring party leaders at an appropriate time.
Interacting with journalists during a meet-the-press programme, the chief minister reiterated that not a single cabinet colleague or party leader opposed his candidature for the top post. “Every leader can have his own view, but it is the high command which decides on such matters. I am a loyal soldier of the party and do not have any enemies in politics. Differences of opinion should not be construed as resentment or opposition. Everyone is free to express his wish,” he said.
Asked about a statement made by agriculture minister N Raghuveera Reddy, Rosaiah said the minister expressed his choice. “There is nothing wrong if a section of the Congress party wants Y S Jaganmohan Reddy as the chief minister. Ours is a national party and this demand is very much within the parameter of party’s democracy. I believe in working together and all are with me,” Rosaiah observed.
Reacting to a query on the conspiracy theory surrounding YSR’s helicopter crash, Rosaiah said he too read it in the media. “We will have to wait till the enquiry by all agencies is completed,” the chief minister said.
