Rosaiah denies making anti-Telangana remarks

Hyderabad, August 31: Former chief minister K Rosaiah on Tuesday stated that he was ready to withdraw his comments on Telangana, if they have hurt anyone in the region.

Talking to media persons near Jubilee Hall after submitting his resignation as member of the Legislative Council following his appointment as Tamil Nadu Governor, Rosaiah said “I never described Telangana issued problem as street fight. And I only told that the Telangana problem could not be solved on the streets.” “If anyone misunderstood my statement and got and hurt, then I am ready to withdraw my remarks and apologise to them,” he said.

Rosaiah refused to make any comment on the existing political scenario in the state. He thanked the Congress high command for giving him the opportunity to serve as the Governor of Tamil Nadu. He said it is not the talent alone, but loyalty and discipline has paid him rich dividends.

Rosaiah would be taking charge as the Tamil Nadu Governor on Wednesday at 4.22 pm.
