Hyderabad, April 14: Chief Minister K Rosaiah’s three-day visit to Delhi has gained political significance following reports that he will have a dialogue with Congress president Sonia Gandhi on the impending Cabinet expansion or reshuffle which had not been touched till date after death of former Chief Minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy. He is expected to meet Sonia Gandhi tomorrow at 5.30 p.m. He is also expected to meet Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during the day.
As per the schedule, the Chief Minister after attending various programmes relating to BR Ambedkar’s birthday celebrations here tomorrow, will fly to New Delhi at 12.30 p.m. He will meet the Prime Minister and Congress president later in the evening. On the following day i.e. April 15, Rosaiah will meet several Union ministers to discuss the issues and developmental activities pertaining to Andhra Pradesh. On the third day (April 16), he will attend the Planning Commission meeting between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. and will return to the State capital in the evening.
It is learnt that the Chief Minister will explain about the prevailing political situation in the state and will also discuss about the next byelections (likely to be held in August) to 12 Assembly seats vacated by TRS (10), TDP and BJP (one each) for Telangana cause. Issues pertaining to finalising APCC chief D Srinivas’s candidature for Council seat from Hyderabad’s Local Authorities Constituency quota may also figure in the discussion.
