Rosaiah Condemns Cane Charge On TDP Leaders

Hyderabad, July 21: The Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, today condemned the brutal lathi-charge on the Telugu Desam party leaders by the Maharashtra police in Darmabad in Nanded mandal.

Speaking to mediapersons here, the Chief Minister appealed to the supporters of the Opposition parties not to resort to vandalism in protest against the ill-treatment of the TDP leaders in Maharashtra. He also exhorted the people to display restraint and remain calm over the controversial Babli project issue.

He also assured the people that he would be leading an all-party committee to the Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, and present forceful arguments for the protection of State’s interests vis-à-vis the illegal Babli project in Maharashtra.
