Roost’s new smart Smoke Alarm alerts you in case of danger

California: Roost, an innovative technology company headquartered in Sunnyvale, California, has unveiled a new smart Smoke Alarm which connects to Wi-Fi and alerts the people around when it detects smoke.

The alarm comes with a companion app on your smartphones, the Verge reports.

The cost of Roost’s smoke alarm is USD 60. The USD 80 version of the alarm also detects smoke, carbon monoxide, fire and natural gas.

The alarm itself isn’t connected until the battery is in place.

Roost has developed a unique, patented connected platform that delivers the ultimate installation simplicity and the most affordable way for consumers to enter the smart home space. The company is also partnering with some of the smartest Insurance companies in the world to deliver telematics for home. (ANI)
