Johannesburg, Nov.26 : Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney has called on his side to be more aggressive and ruthless after a goalless draw against PSV Eindhoven saw the Premier League side’s chances of Champions League thrown into doubt.
Rooney said that his side were not ruthless enough and insisted that they needed to score more goals as a team. He added that they had to change draws into victories, Sport24 reported.
Despite making a strong start, United failed to sustain the momentum against the Dutch champions and finished playing a goalless draw. United headed towards the tunnel with the scoreline goalless in their last seven games in all competitions.
United are second behind Wolfsburg in Group B with one game remaining, and now have to defeat leaders Wolfsburg in their final match next month to secure their spot in the knockout stages. (ANI)
