London, Sept.10 : England’s all-time leading goal scorer Wayne Rooney believes that striker Harry Kane should be given enough time to thrive and develop at his own pace.
Kane, who scored 31 goals for his club Tottenham Hotspur last year, is yet to score in the ongoing Premier League season.
Rooney opined that Kane had played only one Premier League season, insisting that the 22-year-old is a quality goalscorer, the Guardian reported.
The England captain emphasised that Kane would be a great player for the national side in future and would score a lot of goals for the nation.
Earlier in the week, Rooney surpassed Sir Bobby Charlton’s all-time goal scoring record of England after scoring his 50th international goal in the Euro 2016 qualifier against Switzerland (ANI)
