Deccan Waqf Properties Protection Society has filed a complaint with Waqf Board, for repair and laying new RCC roof on the Masjid Kavelu Raheem Pura. The old masjid is located at Puranapul Ward no 13 and block 2. Prayers are performed at the masjid 5 times daily.
However the roof of the masjid which is made up of mortar, is in very precarious condition. The roof of the masjid, where many musallis offer prayer, has multiple leaks hence water seepage from the roof is a common sight during monsoon. The Masjid’s roof can collapse at any time and is life-threatening for the musallis.
President Deccan Waqf Properties Protection Society Mr. Osman bin Mohammed Alhajari in a complaint filed with chief executive officer Waqf Board, stated that if negligence continues there is threat of roof collapse.
