Rolls Royce customized cars in the offing

The super luxury car maker, Rolls Royce will put up its legendary Phantom and Ghost models for customization. A senior office of the company told this. Herfried Hasenoehrl, general manager (emerging markets Asia), Rolls Royce after launching dealership in the city told press persons ‘We are talking to designers and other professionals. This idea will take two months to come to market since we also have to give priority to the quality of the product.’ The two cars cost between `3.2 crore and `4.9 crore.

The company has had a long relation with the city, dating back to the Nizams. Indeed, Mir Osman Khan, the VII Nizam of Hyderabad, was a marquee customer. According to records, he had purchased 50 Rolls Royce cars in his lifetime and his collection included a Barker coach built Rolls Royce Silver Ghost, which he had acquired in 1912 and used as a ceremonial coach.
