England, December 04: Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood, 62, was arrested last night for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend in the street in Surrey, England.
The 62-year-old pop star spent the day in a police cell after police arrested him on suspicion of attacking Ekaterina Ivanova.
Shocked neighbours called police after seeing the ageing rocker arguing with Ivanova, 20, in the street outside his new home in Surrey, The Sun reports.
Wood was arrested in the High St at Claygate, Surrey before being questioned at the Staines police station. He was released on bail for six weeks pending further inquiries.
A Surrey Police spokesman said: “We can confirm that a 62-year-old man from Esher was arrested last night on suspicion of assault in connection with a domestic incident in Claygate High St.
“He has this afternoon been released on bail until a date in January pending further inquiries.”
Wood and Ivanova have been a regular sight since they moved into a plush apartment at Ruxley Towers in the village in September.
Three weeks ago, he arranged to rent the £4000-a-week property from a member of the Lacoste family, who own the French sportswear label.
He has taken a year-long lease on the quirky home, which features an octagonal tower complete with a turret and gargoyles.
It has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a library.
