New Delhi: Ace designer Rohit Bal will draw the curtains on FDCI India Couture Week 2016 here.
The show of the designer, who has been lighting up the fashion landscape for more than 25 years, will be held at an offsite venue on July 24 in the capital.
FDCI President Sunil Sethi said in a statement: “Rohit Bal will set the tone of the FDCI India Couture Week 2016 closing show, with a tribute to fine craftsmanship carrying forward an inimitable legacy, which makes him the most sought-after name in Indian fashion. His label exudes subtle elements of his multi-faceted artistic talents making him the undisputed leader of couture.”
Bal is “really excited and proud to present as a closing designer for FDCI India Couture Week 2016”.
“With so many established names of the fashion fraternity also presenting at the event, I’m looking forward to a marvellous couture week. My relationship with the FDCI is much beyond ‘just a ramp’, it is heartening to reflect upon the years of my association with the council, as it has given me the perfect platform to express my creativity.”
Bal said: “I have been able to showcase my collection that transcends all seasons and reflects my unbridled sense of aesthetics.
