Robbery at temple in east Delhi

New Delhi, December 14: Unidentified burglars struck at a temple in east Delhi early this morning and decamped with jewellery and articles worth around Rs 2.5 lakh, police said.

The incident, which was reported from Ayappa temple located in Mayur Vihar Phase-III, came to light when the priest came to offer prayers, a senior police official said.

According to the officials of the temple, burglars fled with jewellery and articles worth Rs 2.5 lakh.

A large number of locals held a protest march in the locality demanding immediate action from police.
