Ahmedabad, Dec 02: Two persons allegedly robbed Rs 6.51 lakh cash at gunpoint from the Bank of India branch at Narol Circle on Tuesday. Bank officials were inside the premises at that time.
The police said the two entered the bank when the officials were finishing the day’s work. They reportedly held a firearm on the cashier’s head and threatened to kill him.
One of the accused then entered the cashier’s office and took out the cash from the lockers. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone VI, Sachin Badshah said: “We have begun our investigations. We are looking for evidence or trying to see whether they have been caught on camera.” The Dog Squad reached the spot along with the Zone VI police team. Further investigations are on.
