A gang of six-seven youths armed with sharp weapons looted about Rs six lakhs from a private bank Indusind Land Marketing and Finance Services Private Ltd Machhi Mohalla Ambala Cantonment today evening.
The robbers after entering the bank grappled with the guard and tried to snatch his gun. In the ensuing grappling between the robbers and the guard, the latter was injured. The robbers in two groups then pounced upon the cashier and didn’t allow him to move from his seat. The cashier who was counting the cash was asked to hand over the money. But on refusal by the cashier, they beat him up and snatched the cash worth Rs six lakh and escaped.
On receiving information, the DCP, ACP, Inspector detective staff and local SHO reached the spot and started investigation. UNI
