Robbers loot factory after killing security guard

New Delhi, April 07: A 35-year-old security guard was killed by unknown robbers in the national capital, police said today.

The incident was reported from a godown in Sonia Vihar last night.

Sarnam was found dead with his neck slit open this morning while Rs 40,000 and goods worth lakhs were missing from the godown of Swagat Tobacco Company.

Four robbers entered the godown and after killing Sarnam, they fled with Rs 40,000 and goods kept there, a senior police official said.

They attempted to rob another factory in the locality but did not succeed as locals got alerted.

Sarnam had joined the company about three months ago through a placement agency. Police is investigating the matter after lodging a case of murder.
