Hyderabad, June 01: (Siasat News)HIV affected a pregnant woman gave birth a baby at a foot path, adjacent to the hospital in which she was not allowed to be admitted.
This incident took place at suryapet of nalgonda district. She was brought to the hospital in the throes of child birth. According to the Siasat News reporter at first it appeared she would be admitted but after examining her blood samples she was denied the admission.
She was told that since the doctors concerned were not available she could not be admitte she was turned back home on the promise of admittance on the next day. The relatives who were accompanying her tried to take her to a private hospital but they had no money to pay the bill.
In this trial and turmoil birth pangs increased and she delivered a baby at a near by foot path the woman and her husband work as laborers.
Health Minister expressed his shock over the incident and announced that a high level enquiry would be conducted. She was later admitted in a hospital. Mr. R. V. Chandravahan, A.P. AIDS control society expressing his anger said, his society would also take action against the hospital which failed to admit.
